Anyone in the public service who isn't seeing his line manager a couple
of times a week over coffee is pretty senior. He/she/it is not going
to be bothered about anything much to do with getting the sack, and is
almost certainly senior enough to get his car fixed.

If it's a single warning lamp for both sides the bulb can be connected
across the inputs to each side indicator circuit, when one is powered, the
bulb uses the opposite side circuit as an earth so that either terminal of
the bulb can be connected to ground depending on which side indicators are
selected. As the led lamp is polarity sensitive it will only light one way
- L E D lights
I know that they only work when put into the socket one way rather than the
other and with them have really improved the display on my 1996 300tdi 90
All is well apart from the indicator light which only works one way or the
other and not both
Any solution ?Q?Q?

UPDATE
Jacked it up again at both sides and got the diff-lock to release, it
now enagages and disengages correctly.
However, the light is stuck on so I am guessing the switch has seized
up? Is the switch the one obviously protruding from the transfer case
on the nearside? I know this isn't the reversing lights as that is

Ok on thoes numbers , if I use gas, then that brings it up near a
300tdi consumtion and therefor afordable and of course more

If only they made Discos with the built in RUST feature in the back
- Re: Temperature gauge not working
You can check the resistance of the sender unit with the engine cold and
check again when hot. You can also short the sender wire on to the cylinder
head for a short time with the ignition switched on and see if the gauge
reading moves up or get someone to watch it while you do. It should only
take a second or two. If the fuel gauge is working then the power to them
- Re: Temperature gauge not working
You can check the gauge and wiring by disconnecting the wire at the
sensor. With the wire insulated you'll get one end of the gauge scale,
with the wire earthed you should get the other. If that checks out OK,
the sensor's not well. I've no idea of the range of resistance provided
by the sensor - it's not quoted in the manual.
