You're focusing on 1996. We were referring to a time much more recent
than that. Stop living so far into the past. - The Rose Award For 7-29-10. <3416>
The Rose Award goes to Clint Barmes of the Colorado Rockies, who went
two-for-five with three RBI and scored one run in a 9-3 win over the
Pittsburgh Pirates.
Ubaldo Jimenez pitched seven strong innings as the Rockies stopped an
eight-game losing streak. With three teams ahead of them, it's

BOSTON — After 18 years, Darryl Stingley was going to meet face-to-face
with Jack Tatum, the man who ended his football career and put him in a

over the Florida Marlins.
Teammate Andres Torres drove in the winning run with a bases-loaded
single in the 10th inning. The Giants led, 9-2, through six innings. - Re: Jack Tatum's Last Words ...

have resulted in serious injury. It was the same hit coaches taught us
all to make when we were kids, although the players involved wouldn't
be moving as fast, the amount of force applied would not be as large.
If that his was some sort of crime then football should be outlawed. - Re: Jack Tatum's Last Words ...
The QB should have apologized for running that play! Over the middle, pass
overthrown so Stingley was stretched out when he was hit - legally. Tatum
was just doing his job, which he did well at all times during his career. - Re: Jack Tatum's Last Words ...
